Overview
easyMarkets (rebranded from Easy-Forex in 2016) has been operating since 2001 out of Limassol, Cyprus, with continuous CySEC authorisation since 2007, one of the longer unbroken regulatory track records we cover. It also holds an ASIC licence (246566) and, more recently, an FSCA licence in South Africa (2024).
What sets easyMarkets apart is a set of proprietary features independently documented across multiple reviews: dealCancellation (undo a losing trade within 6 hours, for a fee), Freeze Rate, and a standard guaranteed stop-loss with no slippage, offered at no extra cost on top of the spread. That’s a real differentiator most brokers don’t match.
Trading Costs
easyMarkets uses fixed spreads rather than raw/ECN pricing, typically running 0.7-1.8 pips on EUR/USD depending on platform and account. This is wider than dedicated ECN brokers during high-liquidity periods, but the trade-off is pricing certainty and the guaranteed-execution features described above.
easyMarkets offers its own proprietary web/mobile platform (where dealCancellation and Freeze Rate live) alongside MT4, MT5, and TradingView integration. Note that the signature proprietary features aren’t available if you trade via MetaTrader instead.
Our Verdict
easyMarkets is worth considering specifically for its guaranteed-execution features: dealCancellation and no-slippage stop-losses are useful risk-management tools most brokers don’t offer. If your priority is the tightest possible spread instead, a raw/ECN broker elsewhere on this list will beat it on pure cost.
Strengths
- Guaranteed stop-loss (no slippage) and dealCancellation offered as standard, independently-verified differentiators
- Continuous CySEC authorisation since 2007, plus ASIC and (since 2024) FSCA licences
- No deposit/withdrawal fees reported, and a very wide range of supported base currencies
- Low $25 minimum deposit
Watch Out For
- Fixed spreads run wider than raw/ECN competitors during high-liquidity periods
- Signature proprietary features (dealCancellation, Freeze Rate) aren't available on MT4/MT5
- Inactivity fee reporting is inconsistent across sources, so confirm current policy directly
- Narrower core regulatory footprint than some peers (no FCA), and a smaller, less prominent brand
